Reports suggest Torino will revive their interest in Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic in January.

The centre-back was in Turin for a medical in August, but the move collapsed as the two sides couldn’t agree on the structure of the deal.

The Croatian had been out with a knee injury, and the Granata wanted a loan deal which would become permanent after one appearances.

However, the Scottish champions were only willing to do business based on a permanent transfer for €4.5m.

Now Simunovic has proven his fitness, playing 13 games for the Bhoys in all competitions, and Gazzetta dello Sport believes he is Toro’s top defensive target for January.

Lorenzo Tonelli of Napoli has also been linked, but he has yet to play a single minute this season after injury problems of his own.

In addition, the newspaper believes Roma’s Juan Iturbe is a target for the wing, with the Giallorossi man potentially arriving on loan.
