Torino met with Ivan Ilic’s agents yesterday to try and find an agreement after Olympique Marseille increased their offer for the Hellas Verona talent.

The Granata have been working hard to try and secure the 21-year-old Serbian midfielder in this month’s transfer window but have been left anxious after Marseille emerged with concrete interest. Coached by former Gialloblu boss Igor Tudor, the Ligue 1 giants raised their offer for Ilic in an attempt to beat Torino to his signature.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Marseille’s latest offer to Hellas Verona for Ilic is €15m plus add-ons, a convincing proposal, helped by the fact that the French side are willing to leave him in Veneto on loan until the summer.

Torino are refusing to give up on Ilic and met with his entourage last night to further discuss a deal. Their offer is still lower than Marseille’s but they’re hoping that Ilic’s preferences will come into play.
