Despite Nikola Vlasic’s four goals and two assists in 14 Serie A games, Torino President Urbano Cairo can’t guarantee he will sign the Croatia international from West Ham permanently: ‘We’ll see…’

Vlasic joined the Granata on loan with an option to buy in the summer after a disappointing one-year spell at West Ham.

He has had a tremendous impact at the Stadio Grande Torino, scoring four goals and delivering three assists in 15 appearances across all competitions.

Torino can make his move permanent in the summer for €15m plus €3m add-ons, but his future remains up in the air.

“Vlasic is so strong and is doing really well,” Cairo told Gazzetta.

“Will we sign him permanently? Let’s see, the season is long and at the moment, there are no hypotheses about the market. We’ve only played 14 games, it is too early.”

Vlasic put his name on the scoresheet on Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Sampdoria at the Stadio Grande Torino.

No Torino player has created more goal-scoring opportunities than Vlasic and the Croatia international is also the Granata with the most touches inside the opponents’ box.

Torino sit 9th in the Serie A table, six points behind a European placement.

“Twenty points after 14 games are an excellent result, I am satisfied with the job we are doing and I believe everyone should be happy,” continued Cairo.

“I saw a fit team against Sampdoria. I am happy, we are having a great season.”
