Torino President Urbano Cairo joked about “stingy” Milan and confirmed a new overseas offer for Alessio Cerci.

The negotiations for the €20m rated Cerci have been going on for months, but it’s widely reported a new encounter with Adriano Galliani will take place today.

The Rossoneri are reportedly set to offer €15m plus co-ownership of youth team midfielder Simone Verdi.

“Since we last met, Milan sold Mario Balotelli,” Toro President Cairo told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“My club’s books are balanced, so I don’t need to sell anyone, but if a player has ambitions then I won’t clip his wings.

“If the agreement is very good for us and for Cerci, then fine. If not, I am holding on tight to Alessio. What does Galliani think about that? He’s stingy…

“They are looking for Cerci abroad too, not only the clubs that have appeared in the newspapers. Yesterday a new request arrived.”
