Junior Messias is no longer part of the project at Milan and Torino have reportedly started negotiating for the Brazilian winger.

The 32-year-old featured regularly under Stefano Pioli last season, seeing almost 2000 minutes of action across 36 total appearances. In that time, he scored six goals and provided two assists.

Milan have started to build a new project following the dismissals of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara, and their desire to pick up younger targets means they need to make some space in the squad.

As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Torino have contacted Milan to start discussing a deal for Messias, keen to understand the margins of an agreement.

The talks are unrelated to Wilfried Singo, who is a player the Rossoneri are keen to pick up this summer to strengthen their right back role.

Messias will meet with Torino president Urbano Cairo in the coming days, where the project in the Piedmont capital will be presented.
