Torino fans are boycotting the Derby della Mole against Juventus in a protest at ticketing conditions, so vented all their frustration and passion during today’s open training session, including banners and chants insulting their rivals.

It kicks off on Tuesday at the Allianz Juventus Stadium at 19.45 GMT.

The Granata official ultras groups announced last week they were boycotting the game in protest, because visiting fans must sign up to the Juventus website in order to purchase tickets.

Fiorentina ultras already took a similar stance last month because of these restrictions.

Torino therefore opened up the gates of the Filadelfia arena so over 2,000 fans could cheer on the team during their last training session before the Derby della Mole.

They brought banners and aimed insulting chants at their rivals, many of them referencing the recent 15-point penalty for artificially inflating transfer fees to boost capital gains.

There was a large banner depicting someone in handcuffs with the message: ‘Gobbi thieves’.

Samuele Ricci and Ivan Ilic took part in the full session and played in a game between ranks, so are expected to be in the starting XI tomorrow after an injury lay-off.
