Torino Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is reportedly 'close' to signing Roma winger Juan Manuel Iturbe in January.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, a deal has almost been completed between the two clubs, and is awaiting approval from the player once he returns from Paraguay.

The 23-year-old’s career has stalled since making the €24.5m move from Hellas Verona in 2014, and was sent out on loan to Bournemouth last term, where he made just two appearances.

The 23-year-old’s career has stalled since making the €24.5m move from Hellas Verona in 2014, and was sent out on loan to Bournemouth last term, where he made just two appearances.

Seemingly beating Genoa to a loan deal for the player, the Italian newspaper reports that he could play for the Granata against Sassuolo on January 8th. The Buenos-Aires native would reportedly join the club on a two year loan, as Roma’s €10m valuation is prohibitive.

There is a small sticking point to the deal however, with Giallorossi executives requesting that the €6m fee for Iago Falque be paid six months early.
