Verona’s Luca Toni believes traditional centre-forwards are “no longer in fashion”.

The 38-year-old has scored 303 goals across 647 appearances in his career, spearheading the Italy side which won the World Cup in 2006.

“There are no longer out-and-out strikers like me or [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, now there are all these false-nines and not many Italians coming through.
