Empoli defender Lorenzo Tonelli is “flattered” to be linked to Napoli, but hasn’t heard anything official.
It has already been confirmed that the centre-back will be transferred this summer, and the Partenopei have been strongly linked.
“Napoli? These rumours are flattering for me,” Tonelli acknowledged on Radio Crc.

“Napoli? These rumours are flattering for me,” Tonelli acknowledged on Radio Crc.
“It means I’ve managed to play well. However, I don’t know anything about whether I could move to Napoli.
“When a team is in the Champions League it means they have important financial resources, and in order for Napoli to do well they’ll need to be competitive on all fronts.
“Only that would allow them to make the leap forward from what they’ve experienced this year when they were already fighting with the big teams.
“Compared to all the other teams, Juventus have the experience and mentality that you need to carry with you to get consecutive results.
“Next year, as every year, there will be surprises and novelties, and certainly other contenders for the title, so I imagine it’ll be fun and not at all predictable.”
