According to reports in Italy, Milan and Chelsea have reached an agreement over Fikayo Tomori’s permanent move to the San Siro.

The English defender joined Milan on loan from the Blues in January. The deal came with a €28m option to buy, which the Rossoneri have triggered.

According to MilanNews’ editor Antonio Vitiello, the two clubs have reached an agreement and the 23-year-old defender is set to join the Serie A giants on a permanent deal.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed the Rossoneri have activated their option to purchase the player on a permanent deal and an announcement is expected this week.

Tomori played 17 games in Serie A this season and scored one goal in the Diavoli’s 3-0 win over Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.

Milan have already signed Mike Maignan from Lille in the summer transfer window.
