Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori welcomes Olivier Giroud to San Siro. ‘He’s a great player and a great professional’.

The former Chelsea defender spent the last six months on loan before signing a permanent deal with the Rossoneri, now the France international has followed him to the fashion capital.

“Olivier is a nice person, he helps and encourages everyone,” Tomori told MilanTV. “He’s a guy who makes up a group, a true professional and everyone knows his qualities.

“Having someone like him in the team is fantastic, I’m sure he will do well here.”

The World Cup winner, capped 110 times by France, arrives after a successful season with the Blues, as he was part of the team that finished fourth in the Premier League, runners-up in the FA Cup and ultimately won the Champions League in 2020-21.

“Giroud won the World Cup and the Champions League,” Tomori continued. “He has been playing for a long time and has also won Ligue 1. He’s a certainty.”
