Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits he thought Roma’s comeback against Barcelona on Tuesday was ‘a joke’.
Liverpool joined Roma in the Champions League semi-finals after they beat Manchester City 5-1 on aggregate, although their 2-1 win in Tuesday’s second leg was overshadowed by Roma’s comeback from 4-1 down.
“I walked up the stairs and someone told me. I thought it was a joke,” Klopp said after the Reds’ victory.

“Not that I don’t respect Roma, they are fantastic team. I just wasn’t expecting it but knew it was possible.
“They lost Mo Salah and they are in the semis – it’s a big thing!”
