The patron flew in from Indonesia today and spoke to Inter Channel ahead of tomorrow night’s big match with Fiorentina.

“I think it’s good to be here, because I’ve not been in Milan for a couple of months. That doesn’t mean anything, as I spoke to Roberto and the management every week. I was with the team in Doha.

“It’s important tomorrow, we have a big game with Fiorentina. I want to support the team.

“I also want to clarify a lot of things that have been in the papers and the media. I don’t know where it came from, but my rapport with Roberto has not changed. We respect each other, we want to make sure Inter perform and that is why we brought in players in January to make sure we are there.

“I will be here for more than a week, about 10 days. It is great to meet with everyone here, including the fans and journalists.

“This is my first away match. Florence is a great city, I am here with my family too and I know the Fiorentina owners. It’s exciting to see the match.”

Mancini was standing next to Thohir in the Inter Channel interview.

“As the President said, we have a great rapport, nothing serious happened. Our performance has been in line with what we had at the start of the season. Perhaps we did too well at the start!”
