Inter President Erick Thohir has brushed off comments from Milan patron Silvio Berlusconi about his running of the club.

The Rossoneri President is believed to be close to selling the club to Thai investor Bee Taechaubol, but referenced Thohir in saying that he didn’t want to sell to someone who wouldn’t invest.

The Indonesian businessman has responded, comparing the statements to a racist gaffe from Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero.

“There are no problems,” Thohir responded, speaking to Telenord.

“In the past I’ve even been a Filipino, but that chapter is closed. We mustn’t dwell on things, let’s move on.

“I’m happy just to do my job, and I won’t speak about the opinions of others.”

The Beneamata patron also discussed the club’s aims for the season, and believes they can still make the Europa League.

“We can still make it into European competition, given the performance against Lazio and how seriously the players are taking it.”
