For the club’s President, however, rumoured evaluations will more likely come on the playing staff, than the Coach.

“Of course we will evaluate what we need to, for the moment I cannot say on the kind of players or positions that we will operate,” Thohir has told Indonesian media this week.

“Maybe we need a creative midfielder like Hernanes or Mateo Kovacic, or also a tall striker to exploit the high balls. However, I cannot say anything else because we have to evaluate it.

“The defence is alight, and also the midfield is in good shape with major players like Kovacic, Medel and Hernanes, who are working well.

“The defeat to Cagliari may have shaken us a bit, but I am sure that there will be improvement, in the formation or management of rotations.

“Coach Walter Mazzarri will do his best for inter and we will continue to give him a chance.”
