Inter President Erick Thohir says he wants ‘to return to the Champions League at all costs’ this season.
The Nerazzurri have started the season well and are joint-top after 11 rounds of action, but Thohir maintains that a top-three spot is the aim, not the Scudetto.
"We have a project that has been worked on for 4-5 years and the first thing is that we want to return to the Champions League,” he said to Tuttosport.
“The last two seasons have been so-so, but our aim was the Europa League.

“This year we want to return at all costs to the Champions League and Mancini and the players are aware of that. For the Scudetto, there are still another 27 games to go…
"The directors, Mancini and Moratti are all involved in the project. We are going in the right direction.
“It will not be easy to achieve our objective of the Champions League, but we strongly believe in it. We have the best professionals in the club.
“Too many foreigners? You need the best people, regardless of the source.
"We share the same vision of things with Moratti, we want to do everything to ensure that Inter is back among the 10 best clubs in the world.
“He has the right to say what he said, but that does not mean he will sell (his shares).”
