Inter President Erick Thohir “never dreamed” of watching two Derby victories in as many days.
The Nerazzurri had not won a game since the Indonesian magnate took over from Massimo Moratti, but was in the stands for tonight’s 1-0 victory.
He also attended Saturday’s Primavera Derby, when Inter beat their Milan counterparts 3-1 for the Youth Team Coppa Italia.
“I never dreamed of winning two Derbies back-to-back,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“Of course the real heroes are the Coach, the players and the supporters, not me. I am just one small part of it.”
The January transfer window is coming up and Thohir confirmed he would make some changes.
“I talked to Coach Mazzarri and the players. I trust them and if they trust themselves, then I think they can compete.
“Of course there are a few positions we need to upgrade. We need to be careful, as with January transfers 60 per cent of them fail.
“I will be back in Milan in January.”
