There are growing reports that Gleison Bremer could join Inter at the end of the season, leading to Stefan de Virj’s exit with Antonio Conte’s Tottenham strongly interested in signing the Dutchman.

De Vrij sees his current deal expire in June 2023.

In his latest interview with Sky Sport Italia, Inter director Ausilio said that the Nerazzurri are in no rush to extend the defender’s contract, while multiple reports in Italy last summer claimed that De Vrij’s agent Mino Raiola had offered his client to some Premier League clubs.

Both Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte are long-time admirers of the former Lazio defender who could leave the Nerazzurri at the end of the season.

This morning, Il Corriere dello Sport reported that the Serie A champions have already reached an agreement with Gleison Bremer and need to negotiate with Torino now.

Personal terms agreed: Inter lead Chelsea and Milan in race to sign Bremer

Calciomercato.com confirms Bremer is Inter’s main target for the summer, while Matthias Ginter is close to joining Bayern Munich as a free agent.

The Serie A champions have also opened talks to extend Milan Skriniar’s contract, which runs out in 2023.

Bremer has also been linked with Chelsea and Milan. Conte will be hoping the Nerazzurri will secure the Brazilian defenders’ services so his London rivals won’t strengthen their team and Tottenham will have more chances to sign De Vrij.

Inter’s asking price for the 29-year-old is in the region of €30m.

2 thought on “The two reasons why Conte hopes Chelsea miss out on Bremer”
  1. Why would change defence Inter? Juventus won long time with BBC. If Inter break their BSD maybe will lose their way and then winner’s mentality.

  2. New BBS in defence, fine.

This guy is easily the best defender in Serie A this season.

He did such a fantastic job on Lautaro, Dzeko, and Vlahovic in both match-ups recently.

Among all the centre-halves we’ve been linked with recently, he’s easily the best of the lot.
