According to Il Corriere dello Sport newspaper, Torino defender Gleison Bremer has already reached an agreement to join Inter over the summer, but the Nerazzurri must now negotiate with Torino.

Bremer will likely sign a contract extension over the next few weeks, but appears destined to leave Torino at the end of the season.

The Granata do not want to face another Belotti case. The captain sees his contract expire in June and is unwilling to sign a new deal at the Stadio Grande Torino.

Bremer’s contract runs out in June 2023, but the Granata do not want to see him walk away as a free agent in 18 months.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Inter have already reached an agreement with the Brazilian defender who has also been linked with Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Milan.

However, the Nerazzurri do not want to spend more than €20m to secure his services.

If Torino ask for more money, Inter would consider other targets such as Luiz Felipe, who is available as a free agent, given that his contract with Lazio expires at the end of the season.

Inter are still negotiating with Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter who runs out of his contract in June. Bayern Munich have also emerged as strong competitors for the 28-year-old

Inter’s chase for a new centre-back could mean Stefan de Vrij will leave the Nerazzurri at the end of the season.

5 thought on “Personal terms agreed: Inter lead Chelsea and Milan in race to sign Bremer”
  1. I still refuse to believe de Vrij is leaving. But I def mustn’t forget to get furious with Conte should he decide to go to Tottenham.

  2. @Jimmy Bremer is a great replacement for de Vrij. He has been the shakiest and most injury prone among the trio lately. Bremer is 5 years younger but he has comfortably been among the best CBs in the league for the past two seasons. This will be another Marotta coup! Now if Inter can get Frattesi and one of Scamacca/Raspadori/Dybala (or maybe two of them!) then I’m sure Inter can the 3rd scudetto in a row comfortably next season.

  3. @Vieri sure, Bremer will be a valid replacement; but don’t forget how steady & fundamental de Vrij has been de past couple of seasons. Not only in active defending, but also steering the defence, comforting the players in front of them to adopt confidence for an attacking drive. Both Skriniar and Bastoni already were most talented; but their progression has been possible thanks to Stefan too. You don’t just replace that whole spectrum.
So, he shall be missed; Bút indeed: let’s welcome the future.

  4. I would keep SDV, if he is will in to stay and find a 17 year old Bastoni clone, to develop. Maybe he is already in the Primevera? I have a soft spot for SDV. Inters fortunes changed when he agreed to join us.

  5. I like seeing strong Inter as ACM fan

Rivalry tastes best among strong ones

I thought Bremer will choose Inter as he reminds me of Lucio
