Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio travel to face Filippo’s Benevento tonight, and their father, Giancarlo, wants the match to end in a draw.

Simone won the only previous meeting with Filippo, when Lazio beat Bologna 2-0 at the Stadio Dall’Ara in December 2018.

Benevento are currently 15th in Serie A, with Lazio ninth ahead of the match and their father, Giancarlo, doesn’t dare to predict the outcome.

“I hoped that my boys would arrive at the challenge with more serenity,” he told Il Messaggero. “In the end, I will cheer for a draw.

“It might satisfy Benevento more, but for luck, I don’t want to make any predictions.”

He added that he expects Filippo and Simone to speak together before the clash in Serie A.

“My wife Marina and I will watch the game on TV, perhaps even with 93-year-old grandmother Maria.

“I’m sure my children will speak to each other before the game, as they do every day, by the way.”
