Carlos Tevez says he ‘dreamed about returning to Boca’ but that he is ‘suffering to see Juventus like this.’

The Argentina international left the Old Lady in the summer to re-join his boyhood club, but since his departure the champions have struggled for form.

“I love Boca, I saw that they were going through a difficult phase and then chose to come back and give them a hand,” he told La Cornisa TV.

“Being the most loved player helps you, but if you mess up you get fiercely criticised.

“I gave everything to Juventus.

“It hurt me to see Boca limping along, so I asked to leave. I went to sleep thinking about the day that I returned to the Bombonera.

“I’ve already won the Champions League…a Chinese club offered me €20m per year, but money doesn’t matter.

“I’m following Juventus and I’m suffering to see them like this. I left a piece of my heart there.

“Pirlo played like an 18-year-old –like Buffon, he’s world class.

“They’ve won everything and Buffon has even played in five World Cups.

“I played for fantastic clubs like Juventus, Manchester United and Manchester City. Their directors love the club they work for and that makes a difference.”
