The side are still struggling in the bottom two, but have improved considerably since Tesser returned to replace Emiliano Mondonico.
“Roma are the team who score more goals in the first 15 minutes than anyone else,” warned the Novara Coach.
“This is why we mustn’t be unprepared in the opening 15 minutes. Taking the wrong approach would be disastrous.”
Novara are without suspended midfielder Marco Rigoni and the injured Giuseppe Mascara for the 11.30am UK time kick-off. Daniel Jensen will replace Rigoni behind the strikers.
“Jensen is a different player to Rigoni, but just as important. The only worry is that he’s coming off a long injury, so we have to see his fitness levels. If the worst comes to the worst, he can swap with Ivan Radovanovic, who is also not 100 per cent fit.”
