New FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio has claimed that he will oversee complete reform in Italian football.
The 71-year-old was voted in as the Federation’s new leader earlier this month ahead of Demetrio Albertini.

The 71-year-old was voted in as the Federation’s new leader earlier this month ahead of Demetrio Albertini.
And despite being tarred after racist remarks almost derailed his campaign, the new President is ready to make reforms to the game that are in line with the country as a whole.
“The reforms in football must go hand in hand with reforms in the country,” he told reporters in Florence.
“If the country is reforming then football must follow as well.
“Perhaps I have taken on a responsibility that is bigger than me and this Federation, but I think there is no other option.
“We can’t fail with this. I have the interests of the Federation at heart, and if all the components are put in place, I’m sure we can do a good job.
“I am convinced that tensions in our country can be tempered by the football.”
