Milan’s backroom reshuffle looks set to put Arrigo Sacchi in charge of youth development and allow Mauro Tassotti to stay on as assistant Coach.

Tassotti was coming to the end of his contract this summer and strongly speculated as set to either move into another role at Milanello, or leave the Rossoneri altogether.

However, seen as predominantly down to a poor working relationship with Clarence Seedorf, the Dutchman’s impending replacement with Pippo Inzaghi has the Gazzetta dello Sport believing that Tassotti may now stay in his current role.

However, seen as predominantly down to a poor working relationship with Clarence Seedorf, the Dutchman’s impending replacement with Pippo Inzaghi has the Gazzetta dello Sport believing that Tassotti may now stay in his current role.

Whilst Inzaghi is believed set to bring in Filippo Galli as his assistant, the pink paper believe that Tassotti may stay on also, to share that position.

Meanwhile reports of Arrigo Sacchi’s return to San Siro continue, with the speculation that he will take on Galli’s current role as head of the youth sector at the club.

Gianluca Di Marzio’s website reports that Milan have officially offered Sacchi this position and now await the 68-year-old’s response.

It is understood that Sacchi has already decided to leave his position as technical director at the Italian Football Federation.
