Tagliavento gave a penalty to Roma early on in Sunday’s Derby from a tackle that replays showed was clearly made outside of the box, helping the Giallorossi to a 2-0 win.

Tare mentioned that he approached the referee following the match and spoke of a lack of ‘grit and determination’ from the Aquile.

“It’s true, I met Tagliavento after the match,” Tare told Lazio Style Radio.

“I was very bitter about the episode with the penalty that was awarded, which affected the match.

“I only voiced my disappointment to the referee at how the match went and in the end I just asked him to review the incriminating episodes in the evening and in calmness.

“On his part there was no gesture of apology, or even the conviction that he had been right.

“In these negative moments it’s obvious that a 360 degree analysis must be made.

“Now we’re talking about a catastrophe, but only three weeks ago we were talking about a Lazio that was fighting for the Scudetto.

“I wasn’t celebrating before and I’m not getting myself down now.

“The grit and determination to win matches at all costs is missing, but there’s a lot of quality.

“The Derby was decided by unfavourable episodes, Roma had the chance straight away to set up the match as they liked, playing on the counter attack.

“I will speak with Pioli, there’s a long way to go, unfortunately we are in the position of chasing.

“But if we all pull in the same direction, we can return to the standards of last season.

“The controversy with the Curva? I’m sorry about it, seeing the Olimpico half-empty made me sad.

“Now we will look to focus on the issue, hoping that we can take a decision that satisfies everyone.”
