The summer signing from Genoa has been thrown into the Roma starting line-up by boss Zdenek Zeman this season.
But the 21-year-old has his critics, especially as he is being used in a central midfield playmaker role – thus forcing Daniele De Rossi to be used in a wider role in Zeman’s 4-3-3.
“I know that the fans have jeered me, but I am just following the orders of my Coach and I think we are on the right road,” stated the Greek.
“De Rossi? In my opinion, he is the best Italian midfielder in circulation and I can learn a lot from him.”
Tachtsidis, last season in Serie B with Verona, has started eight Serie A games so far this term.
