“I feel reborn, I’ve found my football,” the 28-year-old told Premium Sport.

“I know I’m important for the team, and that makes me very happy. Football has changed, and if you don’t have an athlete’s body, you’ll struggle: technique isn’t enough.

“Because of that, I worked hard like never before, and I found my love for football. Ballardini? He has a different style to Juric.

“We wait for our opponents a bit more and we try to do damage on the counterattack.

“We’ve been picking up points by playing like this, and that’s important.”
