The Moroccan spent the second half of last season on loan at Milan, and had been frozen out at Loftus Road after a row with manager Harry Redknapp.

Taarabt returned to the QPR side for the weekend’s win over Burnley, suggesting that the problems had been put to one side. However, the former Tottenham man has revealed that he still wants a move.

“My agent is working to find a solution,” Taarabt revealed to Tuttomercatoweb.

“I’ve always said I want a change of scenery, and I repeat that. There’s been contact with some Italian clubs, let’s see.

“My objective remains to fight for a place in Europe.”

The 25-year-old also confirmed rumours that a swap deal with Inter had been in the works, with Yann M’Vila moving to England.

“Yes, there’s been contact. They are also sure of my physical condition, but I think we’re in the midst of negotiations that involve other players.

“The situation is complicated.

“All I can say is that I’ve trained a lot, even by myself because I don’t play very often. I’m fine, and I want to fight for something important.”
