Roma goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny finds it difficult to explain the Giallorossi’s performances away from home so far this season.

Luciano Spalletti’s side have taken just one point from three Serie A matches on the road, drawing at Cagliari before losses to Fiorentina and Torino.

“It is difficult to explain what is happening,” the Polish shot-stopper admitted following defeat at Stadio Olimpico. "It must be a question of our heads, you just need to see our home and away performances. They are completely different.

“When we play away it is a question of attitude, of application and of battling.

“Torino were very aggressive on the pitch, so it doesn’t depend on our quality but of our approach and confidence.”

Szczesny did however back Coach Spalletti, saying that the blame for recent results must be shared around the squad.

“It is everyone’s responsibility, it’s never about one person, and we didn’t manage to do what the Coach asked us to.”
