Sven-Goran Eriksson says 'he does not know why' he has not received any offers from Serie A clubs, but 'he would return'.

The Coach was replaced by Andre Villas-Boas at Chinese club Shanghai SIPG this month, and took the opportunity to speak about the success of his former Lazio team.

He revealed his delight in the success of ex-players Sinisa Mihajlovic, Roberto Mancini, Diego Simeone and Simone Inzaghi, all who have gone on to club management.

"It is a great pride and I’m happy for their success, the Swedish Coach told Corriere dello Sport. "Their careers honour the work that we did together.

"We lived through memorable moments, we are very close. I'm also glad to see Angelo Peruzzi as a team manager, he is a great man, I'm happy for him.

"Maybe we would have gone on to win more but it would have been be hard to say no to England.

"I have not received any offers from Serie A. I do not know why, but I would come back again.

"I would like to return to the Olimpico soon. It was incredible that we won the Scudetto in 2000.

"I also wish Simone the best of luck , this year and in the coming seasons.

"As a player he was hungry for success and he is transmitting these skills now as manager. It can open a positive cycle at Lazio."
