Suso said he has found his “ideal position” on Milan’s right wing and is “read to play.”

The ex-Liverpool winger arrived in January, but only had 11 minutes of Coppa Italia football under his belt before scoring twice in today’s 3-0 friendly win over Reggiana.

“I needed time to settle in. I did the best I could and am happy,” he told MilanNews.it.

“Playing on the right I have the opportunity to score goals or provide assists, depending on the situation. Cutting in from the right it’s easy to shoot with the left and I was fortunate to score a great goal today.

“My ideal position is where I played today, but it doesn’t matter where, the important thing is to play.

“I came here to give a helping hand to the team. I’d like to play, of course. Coach Inzaghi sees me training every day and I want to make the most of my opportunities.

“If the Coach gives me the chance to play against Palermo, then I’ll give my best, as I did today.”

However, when asked what had been missing from Suso’s Milan experience until now, he seemed bemused.

“I don’t know. I am not the one to ask. I think that I’m ready to play. Every day I train hard to be at the disposal of the Coach and he’ll give me a chance when he thinks it is opportune to do so.”
