Tino-Sven Susic’s agent says there is an ‘informal agreement’ with Inter, who remain their first choice even as other clubs are making offers too.

Following statements released earlier today in which Susic himself said that Inter is his dream destination, the Hajduk Split midfielder’s agent has made it explicit that they are looking specifically for a deal with the Nerazzurri.

“We haven't signed anything yet,” explained Sabatino Durante to FCInterNews. “There is an informal agreement between us and Inter, yes, but nothing official as of yet.

“We can't formalise anything until January 5, and until then anything can happen, though I doubt we'll see a reversal because the player's desire – as well as my own – is to close the deal with Inter, even if there are some teams that offer more from a purely financial point of view.

“[Coach Roberto] Mancini has liked Susic since his time spent coaching Manchester City, though nobody back then wanted to publicise the operation. Galatasaray were after him too, but the conditions were missing to make it happen.

“We also have a great relationship with the Inter management and we already spoke to them one year ago.

“We can say that Mancini simply accelerated the process and gave his consent, but [sporting director Piero] Ausilio had been following him for some time.”

In spite of the strong ties with Il Biscione, Durante revealed that there is some serious competition to get the 22-year-old's services.

“Chelsea and Arsenal are interested, but there are offers from Bordeaux and from Sevilla. The latter team is creating a lot of complications because their offer is advantageous to the club.

“But as far as we're concerned we want to close the deal with Inter. We just have to find a conclusion and I think that in the first days of next week we'll put ink to paper.

“Hajduk want to cash in as much as possible, but we want to go to the city of Milan. Tino will be a pivot of their project starting next year.

“Inter would like to leave him be until the summer, but Susic wants to be useful to the club right away and he's willing to take risks so he can debut with the team.

"Teams like Tottenham made a move for him too, who with [technical director Franco] Baldini made an offer. But with the turnovers on their bench, nothing happened, even though we came very close to an agreement.

“There's a problem with the Croatian club because right now they have a great offer in their hands and they may cause some problems, but in the end Hajduk will have to accept the transfer. The only offer we're considering is that of Inter.”
