Stefano Pioli has only one doubt ahead of tonight’s Supercoppa derby, while Simone Inzaghi can rely on Romelu Lukaku, but the Belgian forward will start on the bench.

It kicks off at 19.00 GMT.

Milan are without the injured Mike Maignan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alessandro Florenzi, Fode Ballo-Toure and Rade Krunic.

Simone Kjaer is expected to replace Pierre Kalulu in central defence, while one between Junior Messias and Alexis Saelemaekers will get the nod on the right wing.

Lukaku hasn’t completed a full training session with his teammates over the last week, so he will start on the bench with Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko in attack. Marcelo Brozovic and Samir Handanovic are not available due to injuries.

Matteo Darmian is favourite over Denzel Dumfries.

Simone Inzaghi has already won the Supercoppa three times and could join Marcello Lippi and Fabio Capello as the most successful coach in the competition.

The Nerazzurri are the defending champions but have won the Supercoppa for two seasons in a row only once in history. The Serie A title holders have lifted the Supercoppa 71% of the time in the previous 34 editions.

  1. So of the two teams Maignan, Lukaku and Brozovic are absent. Others aren’t influential. Hope to see a great match.
