David Suazo's proposed move to Cagliari is back on after he reportedly held crunch talks with President Massimo Cellino.

A summer switch did seem on the cards until a breakdown in communication saw Cellino put the brakes on the deal.

However, according to reports in Sardinia, the two men have spoken and the transfer could now be completed.

The Honduran international left the Sardinian club for Italian giants Inter in the summer of 2007 for €13m.

However, the player's Nerazzurri contract has now expired and it seems as if he's heading back to the Stadio Sant'Elia on a free transfer.

The 31-year-old forward struggled at the Stadio Meazza and was sent out on loan spells to Benfica and Genoa.

Suazo scored 102 goals in 276 games in all competitions for Cagliari during his eight-year stint with the Rossoblu.
