“I have asked the guys to give everything to win at home as was the case against Parma,” Stramaccioni told reporters today.
“Then we have shown that we can play in emergency conditions, whilst against Napoli we also demonstrated as such until the final goal that made it 3-1.
“Three games remain, to wear the Inter shirt and go out to win. Whoever plays will have to give their best against a team that are good, but who I think we can beat by playing to the death.
“The victory against Parma has given us strength to think that it is possible.
“In the remaining games I want to see everything that we have shown before, as against Parma, Palermo, Napoli.
“We have improved in the point of possession and this is great motivation to beat Lazio. There are no other reasons, in view of this emergency, our hunger must grow.
“It will be important to get a result and we have not given up, nor will we.”
Inter’s recent form has seen them slip to eighth in Serie A and out of the European qualification places. It was put to Stramaccioni that any rebuilding of the team next year may benefit from no midweek European games.
“I believe that Roma and Fiorentina, who have not had European football this year, have had more harmony and fewer physical problems.
“But I believe that, as Inter, we will try to collect as many points as possible. There might be a silver lining in what has gone wrong, but we are Inter and we want Inter to be in Europe.
“Then, the Europa League is backbreaking, we understand we will face it in a different way.”
The Coach declined comment on rumours that Leonardo may be returning to the club in the summer.
