According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Inter are in a hurry to extend with Milan Skriniar and hope to finalise a deal by the end of the year.

The Slovakia international’s deal runs out in June and the Serie A giants have already made their move to extend his stay at the club.

According to Gazzetta, Inter have offered their star defender a new €6m-a-year deal including add-ons for four or five years. The report claims it’s up to the defender to decide the contract length.

His agent Roberto Sistici was expected to meet the Nerazzurri this week, but a meeting is unlikely today given that Simone Inzaghi’s men will leave for Spain, where they will face Real Betis on Saturday.

Beppe Marotta hopes the player’s representative will meet the club by Christmas or by the end of the year, knowing that if his client refuses to pen a new deal, he may be sold in January to avoid seeing him leave on a free transfer in June.

Marotta has recently claimed that he is confident Skriniar will extend his stay at the Stadio Meazza even if PSG made a higher contract offer to sign him last summer.
