“We are hoping to put in a good performance tonight. We’ve had ups and downs, a few results we didn’t like, but this year is still positive,” Stankovic told Mediaset Premium.

“We have many young players who are new to the club and Roberto Mancini did a good job. We’ll see where we are at the end of the season.
“We signed our players because they are talented and have character, but the mind makes a big difference at this level. They have to understand how much the Inter shirt weighs on their shoulders, understand the environment and we can all improve in that sense.”
This evening Lazio start Biglia and Candreva, who have both been heavily linked with a move to Inter.
“They are two excellent players who have a lot of experience, but Piero Ausilio takes care of transfers and we’ll see what he can do this summer.”
Atletico Madrid boss Simeone said he will return to Inter one day as Coach, does Stankovic see it happening?
“At this moment our Coach is Mancini. Maybe in two, three, four years he could come. If he says so, I believe him, but that future is not imminent.
“I am pleased to see Simone Inzaghi as a Serie A Coach. He is a friend, a former teammate and I’m happy for him. It was his dream to be on the Lazio bench and I wish him all the best.
“Simone and Roberto were very good friends, so it’s nice to see them together on the touchline in Serie A too.”
