Dejan Stankovic is remaining hopeful despite Inter’s loss at home to Bologna in Serie A on Sunday evening.

Following defeat in the Europa League on Thursday night at Spurs, the Nerazzurri then fell 1-0 at San Siro to the Rossoblu.

“I hope we can get back on track and change our fortunes,” the Serbian noted. “It’s a tough situation, but I'm always proud to wear this shirt even when we're not having the best time of it.

“We played a good side, who were physically very good. We didn't start well, improved in the second half, but their goal caught us cold.”

The midfielder played just under an hour in the game before being withdrawn because of an injury.

“I felt a twinge in my calf,” he explained. “I'll have an ultrasound on Monday and I hope it’s nothing serious.”

The Nerazzurri, who have won just two of their last eight League games, are now fifth in the table – four points away from third-placed Milan.
