Tottenham are reportedly trying to poach Mohamed Salah from Fiorentina via Chelsea.

According to ESPN, Spurs have approached their London rivals to ask for information on his position for next season.

The 22-year-old joined Fiorentina in January on loan as part of the deal taking Juan Guillermo Cuadrado to Stamford Bridge.

As part of that agreement, the Viola have an option to extend the loan for another year and then potentially buy him outright in 2016.

Nonetheless, Tottenham hope Salah will be open to moving back to England sooner rather than later.

The decision could ultimately depend on whether Fiorentina manage to qualify for Europe.

If they win the Europa League – and the Viola are in the semi-final against Sevilla next week – it would place them in the Champions League play-off round.
