Catania's Nicolas Spolli has officially signed for newly-promoted Serie A side Carpi, after one year at Roma.

The Argentinian-born defender spent last season on a loan with the Giallorossi but was only given one game to play in.

Now Carpi have made official the signing of the player with a statement on their site.

“Carpi FC have finalised the deal for the signing of the player Nicolas Spolli,” reads the statement.

“Carpi FC have finalised the deal for the signing of the player Nicolas Spolli,” reads the statement.

“The Argentinian defender, having freed himself from his engagement with Catania Calcio, signed a contract ending on June 30, 2016, with an option to renew next season.

“Spolli played over 130 games in Serie A and he adds experience to the defensive squad available for Coach [Fabrizio] Castori.”
