Spezia announced that goalkeeper Ivan Provedel has won his appeal against a ban for a blasphemous phrase, so will be available against Atalanta.
The shot-stopper had been given the one-match suspension after he was caught on camera uttering the offensive phrase during the 4-3 Serie A defeat to Lazio.
However, an emergency appeal was presented and today the disciplinary commission accepted the evidence was not clear, as Provedel denied using those words.
This means he will be available when Spezia play Atalanta in Serie A this weekend.
In the Italian language, the use of a blasphemous phrase is considered the most offensive possible form of swearing.
