Luciano Spalletti was reportedly spotted at the Roma training ground, as he’s still in the running to replace Rudi Garcia.

Despite a 2-0 victory over Genoa at the weekend, the Coach remains in the balance, as President James Pallotta is unconvinced.

Director Walter Sabatini promised reporters “there may well be blood, but it won’t be that of the Coach.”

However, Radio Radio, Mediaset Premium and SportItalia continue to claim Garcia is hanging by a thread and that Spalletti was spotted in the city near their Trigoria training ground.

Spalletti was in charge of Roma under previous owner Rosella Sensi and came very close to clinching the Scudetto before leaving in 2009.

He then had success in Russia with Zenit St. Petersburg, but is ready for a return to Italy and to his former club, where the fans are still very fond of him.

SportItalia also suggest Spalletti met with President Pallotta in Miami back in March, so this change-over has been in the works for some time.

If there was to be a change of Coach, now would be ideal, as Serie A is over until January 6.
