Spalletti, formerly of Udinese” data-scaytid=”18″>Udinese and Roma, has been in Russia since December 2009 and is contracted until 2015.

The 53-year-old was considered by Roman Abramovich’s club before they appointed Carlo Ancelotti in the summer of 2009.

Chelsea are currently bossed by former Inter tactician Rafael Benitez following the dismissal of Roberto Di Matteo in November.
