Roma Coach Luciano Spalletti insists “I don’t think it’s easier” to face Napoli now they’ve lost Arkadiusz Milik.

The Polish striker ruptured his cruciate ligament while on international duty, and it was confirmed after surgery today that he’ll be out for three-to-four months.

The Giallorossi travel to San Paolo at the weekend, but Spalletti warns they still face a tough test.

“It’s clear that he [Milik] is strong,” the tactician told SportMediaset.

“However, I think it’s wrong to think from this point of view, because as opponents they’ve lost a good player but none of their strength.

“[Manolo] Gabbiadini has shown his strength, and he’s played like a champion and scored goals. The team will play with the same confidence, I don’t think it’s easier.

“It’s an important game, which can give us a lot in terms of enthusiasm, we’re two teams with passionate fans who can give us that.

“It’s a difficult, delicate game and we’ll have to be ready.”

Francesco Totti has hinted he might like to be a Coach when he retires, how does Spalletti see his captain’s future?

“For the moment I see him as a player, because he has to do well and make his mark on games where we need his strength.

“He should think about being a player and we need to see him use that direction as his outlet.

“Roma need to win and it’s a full-time job.”
