Il Messaggero reports today that the Italian FA have put Spalletti at the top of their list to succeed Antonio Conte in the Italy hotseat once he departs for Chelsea after Euro 2016.

The bald tactician is tied to the Lupi on a contract until 2017, but the outlet believes a gentleman’s agreement with the FIGC would be enough to secure his early departure.

The idea has already received the approval of various figures inside the Italian FA, according to the report.
