Vrsaljko didn’t take part due to a knee problem he picked up on international duty with Croatia, while D’Ambrosio limped off today.

“Sime won’t be there on Tuesday either, as he has a problem, although you’d have to ask the medic for a more precise diagnosis,” said Spalletti in his Press conference.

“D’Ambrosio is unlikely to recover in time and we need to evaluate his condition. D’Ambrosio’s absence is creating a problem, as Kwadwo Asamoah is now the only full-back we’ve got available for Tottenham.”

Dalbert is not in the Champions League squad, as their list is limited by Financial Fair Play considerations, so there could be a tactical adjustment.

“Against Spurs we could see Milan Skriniar as a right-back, as he’s got the capabilities. Another option would be to go three at the back with Joao Miranda.”
