Paulo Sousa has stood by his recent remarks that he would like to coach Roma, who match his ‘ambition’.

Sousa’s revelation came at a time when Eusebio Di Francesco was feeling the pressure at Roma, and the former Fiorentina boss reiterated his desire to replace the ex-Italy midfielder.

“Saying ‘I’d like to coach Roma’? I don’t go to stadiums to impose my presence. I go to watch games that can help me with my work,” he told.

“Saying ‘I’d like to coach Roma’? I don’t go to stadiums to impose my presence. I go to watch games that can help me with my work,” he told.

“I asked myself, ‘would I like to coach Rome?’ and I just replied. My ambition is to coach a team who can win the Scudetto and more, and Roma can.

“Of course I’d like to coach in Italy again. Italian football lets you grow as a Coach because every game is different and you have to prepare from each one differently.

“I like how it’s lived, every day by everyone.”
