“It isn’t an issue of one striker or two, a trident or whatever. At some moments we play at our level, at others we don’t. We create chances, that is the important thing, and need the kind of consistency that comes with results.
“We want to be protagonists all the way. We know that in sport the results are what count. They arrived last season when everyone had low expectations, including within the team.
“Last term we surprised everyone, but if we don’t maintain that level, it’s natural that criticism will come. I am focused exclusively on what we can control and that’s working in training to put my players in the best condition to deliver.
“When I talk about courage, I mean as a unit, not specific individuals. I never think of a draw, as my mentality is to always seek victory.
“I want to see intensity going forward and back. We must be wary, as Czech teams play with great intensity and we must start very concentrated indeed.”
