Fiorentina Coach Paulo Sousa admits his future “doesn’t depend only on me”.

The Viola boss has been linked with a move to Zenit St Petersburg at the end of the season, though he is under contract until 2017.

“I’m not going to answer that,” Sousa said when asked about his future in his Press conference ahead of the Udinese game.

“I have a contract with Fiorentina, my mind is clear and focused on Fiorentina, and I want to create a culture here.

“I’m not going to answer that,” Sousa said when asked about his future in his Press conference ahead of the Udinese game.

“I have a contract with Fiorentina, my mind is clear and focused on Fiorentina, and I want to create a culture here.

“I’ve been very clear. It’s not a matter of saying ‘I’m staying’, because it doesn’t depend only on me, but on the results.

“I don’t like talking to people through hints, I prefer face to face.”

The Viola face arch-rivals Juventus – who Sousa played for – at the weekend, but the Portuguese is focused entirely on the Zebrette.

“Tomorrow’s game is much more important than Sunday’s, because it’s the one that comes first. We want to keep winning to retain a winning mentality for the next matches.

“Victory would give us more belief and determination, the game on Sunday will be prepared in the game tomorrow.”

The Bianconeri were given a suspended partial stadium closure yesterday after anti-semitic songs directed at the Viola, and the Coach was asked about those chants.

“Some chants are neither sporting or intelligent,” Sousa sighed.

“At the same time, you shouldn’t give too much publicity to certain behaviour, they shouldn’t have too much emphasis placed on them.”
