According to Premium Sport, Sousa is on his way out of Florence, the Coach having already emptied his house.

It is believed the former Juventus and Borussia Dortmund midfielder was unhappy with the club’s lack of transfer activity over the summer.

Although they brought in 12 new players, Davide Astori was La Viola’s most expensive signing at €3.5m, while they failed to reinvest the €27m received for Marcos Alonso on deadline day or get Stevan Jovetic’s proposed return over the line.

Ex-Lazio boss Stefano Pioli is reportedly Fiorentina’s first choice to replace Sousa, although they would have to negotiate a compensation package for the trainer, given he is still on the Aquile’s books.
